APC and Payment Enquiries

Requests for application of the Reduced APC, Special Reduced APC or IC SDEWES Member APC, and questions concerning the automatic temporary waiver of the Standard APC, the APC category or amount shown in COMET, eligibility, invoices, VAT, payment methods or refunds should be sent to:

Please include the journal name, manuscript ID, corresponding author’s name, requested APC category and any information or documentation required to demonstrate eligibility.

Publication Ethics and Research Integrity Concerns

Concerns involving plagiarism, duplicate publication, authorship, competing interests, data or image integrity, peer-review manipulation, generative AI, confidentiality, editorial conduct or published content should be sent to:

The report should identify the journal, manuscript or article and include a clear description and supporting information where available.

Where the concern involves the Editor-in-Chief or the journal’s ordinary editorial contact, it should be submitted directly to this address.

Appeals and Complaints

Editorial decision appeals should normally be submitted through the journal’s editorial contact in accordance with Editorial Decision Appeals and Complaints.

General procedural complaints concerning peer-review handling, communication, delay, confidentiality, policy application or publication procedures should be submitted through the journal’s editorial contact or using the Complaint Submission Form.

Questions or requests concerning APC eligibility, invoices, VAT, payment methods or refunds should first be submitted to payment@sdewes.org. A formal complaint concerning the handling of an APC category, automatic temporary waiver, invoice, payment or refund may be submitted through the journal’s editorial contact and will be handled under Editorial Decision Appeals and Complaints.

Complaints concerning editorial conduct, publication ethics, research integrity or the handling of such a concern should be submitted to ethics@sdewes.org.

Complaints concerning the Editor-in-Chief, another editor, the journal’s editorial contact or SDEWES Centre as publisher should be submitted to ethics@sdewes.org or through the Complaint Submission Form. Such complaints will be assigned for independent handling in accordance with Editorial Decision Appeals and Complaints.
