Article Publishing Fee
The Journal of Sustainable Development of Energy, Water and Environment Systems is an Open Access journal. Even though Open Access publications are free for readers, the publishing process is not cost-free. Publishing an article in the journal requires payment of a publishing fee to cover the publishing costs.
The Article Publishing fee is 500 EUR + VAT* (applicable for papers submitted after 1.1.2023., otherwise 400 EUR + VAT*)
What are the authors paying for?
Waivers or discounts may be granted at the sole discretion of the publisher and the Editor-in-Chief.
Fee discounts are available to support researchers from developing and emerging regions unable to pay a publication fee. Authors are eligible to apply for a reduced fee if they are living/studying in regions listed below. Special reduced fee is available only to papers where all authors are from A countries. Reduced Article Publishing fee is available only for papers where all authors are from A and B countries.
If a corresponding author is a member of IC SDEWES the paper is eligible for discounted Article Publishing fee.
The reduced Article Publishing fee is 300 EUR + VAT* (applicable for papers submitted after 1.1.2023., otherwise 200 EUR + VAT*)
The special reduced Article Publishing fee is 100 EUR + VAT* (applicable for papers submitted after 1.1.2023., otherwise a fee waiver is given).

Available payment methods are via bank transfer, credit card payments via POS machine or PayPal (additional fees may apply).
